The eyebrows 'frame' the eyes and influence the total symmetry of the face. Unlike
the harsh 'stencil looking' brows tattooed 15 to 20 years ago the techniques used
today result in a more natural, softer appearance. Micropigmentation of the
eyebrows can add fullness, shape, symmetry, and defined color tones to fair brows
or to brows that have lost hair due to age or injury. Custom blended colors are
placed in the brow area to correct an imperfect shape or to give brows a fuller
appearance. Your bone structure (not a stencil) is used as a guide to create the most
flattering eyebrow design for you. Depending on the technique and colors used
your permanent brows can have the appearance of natural hairs with the hair stroke
methodology or have the delicate soft appearance of color from brow shadow.
Whatever end result you desire your natural facial features will be enhanced.

The color is applied using an applicator specially designed for facial cosmetic
tattooing. This instrument gives the technician the highest degree of control for fine
detailed work. Permanent eyebrows are applied with sterile/clean supplies and
topical anesthetics.

Expect the procedure to take approximately 2 hours of which the tattooing takes
less than one hour. Topical anesthetic is applied to desensitize the brow area and
make the procedure more comfortable. Many clients comment that their permanent
eyebrow procedures are more comfortable than their lip or eyeliner procedures.
Immediately, after the procedure your eyebrows will be puffy and slightly red
around the tattooed area.  Your permanent eyebrow will appear thicker and darker
initially.  As the area heals you'll notice some of the color (scabs) flaking off which
usually occurs during the first week.  This is normal and to be expected and is the
start of the process which will reveal your true permanent color in four to six
weeks.

Your technician is there to help you accentuate your natural beauty.  To that end, it
is important to understand some basics regarding proper makeup techniques as they
relate to specific facial shapes.

                                                                                       ABOUT

Permanent Eyebrows is a specific type of permanent cosmetics procedure
otherwise known as "micropigmentation."  Permanent eyebrows is unmistakeably a
specialized form of tattooing where pigment is placed in the dermal layer of the skin
around the eyes.  If properly maintained, permanent eyebrows will provide several
years of trouble-free color before requiring a refresher touch-up.

There are essentially three (3) different types of permanent eyebrow application
available:

Brow Shadow

Brow Shadow & Hairstrokes (Combination)

Brow Hairstrokes

Brow shadow is very much the same as using an eyebrow pencil
to draw the eyebrows. The result is very soft, subtle, "powdery"
look which makes this the most popular procedure.

A hairstroke technique is used to simulate the appearance of fine,
natural strands of brow hair.  This technique is great for women who have
thinning brows, aleopecia patients and especially men who want a well groomed,
yet masculine looking eyebrow.

In the combination procedure, first the shadow is properly placed in a light
brow shade followed by bolder hairstrokes in a slightly darker shade.  The
result are brows with added dimension.

Square: This shape is easily identified by its square jaw line
and solid bone structure. The cheekbones are flat and
unnoticeable, while the forehead tends to be wide and angled
with plum cheeks. For a square face, slope the eyebrows
towards the middle of the ear. A high arched brow elongates a
square face. (Sandra Bullock, Demi Moore, Isabella Rossellini)

Round: Here, your cheeks, chin and forehead practically form
a circle. Your cheeks tend to be plump and full, obscuring the
cheekbones. For a round face, aim the end of the brow
towards the tip of the ear. (Kate Winslet, Drew Barrymore,
Christina Ricci)

Heart: Being narrow at the bottom and broad at the top marks
this face. Your chin will be pointed and prominent.
Cheekbones may be high, but often are not so obvious
because of the width of the face. For a heart face, aim the
eyebrows in a straight line towards the middle of the ear in a
slight slope. (Ashley Judd, Naomi Campbell, Michelle Pfeiffer)

Long: This shape will have either a long forehead or a long
chin; distinct drawn and rather raw-boned features are visible
giving a tired look. Cheekbones lack lift because of the length
of the face. For a long face, shape the brow in a straight line
towards the tip of the ear. (Gwyneth Paltrow, Niki Taylor)

Oval: Oval is a perfectly balanced face; the top half balances
the bottom half. For an oval face, the brow should curve
down towards the lower ear. (Jennifer Aniston, Tyra Banks,
Uma Thurman)
